Troika!

After discovering that her great-grandparents emigrated from the Balkans, Dianna started researching music from the area, and fell in love with the dynamic music from her ancestors.  She also plays music from France and other European countries. She performs these styles on solo accordion and piano and on her clarinet on other instruments in different ensembles including Troika, Baba Yaga's Stew, il Troubadore, and with individual musicians from the midwest. She has traveled to Macedonia and Chicago to learn the many traditions of these styles and continues to work with the many musicians she meets in her travels who play music from Eastern Europe.
